Some feature requests and questions

Postby Pongoid » Fri Aug 18, 2017 2:03 am

Could you guys please get the update done so the controllers can be individually assigned to their own channels and CC #'s instead of this global channel per midi bank bulls*t? Seriously, it's way past time to actually get a little closer to completing that product. The hardware is capable of so much more in the midi implementation department, and the fact that you guys have put out a compact 4-buss surround mixer without the ability to record panner movements and automate them, even with a workaround from the midi banks IS BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!! People have been waiting for over a year for you to allocate the time and resources for one, maybe two programmers to turn the K-Mix into the live surround sound performance tool that the hardware was designed for.

If that is truly beneath you guys, could you please, AT LEAST do an OS update for the QuNeo that will allow its rotary controllers to map directly to the Angle and Radius CC's of the K-Mix's surround panners? Unless I'm completely mistaken, the only differences between those in the QuNeo and the K-Mix are some pieces of code to make use of the radial data that the smart fabric generates as one moves about on the control surface. Trying to control radial values on a second, separate controller, like say one of the X or Y controls on a drum pad, or slider, is just utterly clumsy, counter-intuitive, and frustrating.

But hey, if you think I'm alone in these sentiments, just peek your heads onto places like Muffwiggler, or gearslutz, and see what folks are saying. I don't know how to make it any more clear: the money you invest in getting the K-Mix's OS and editor closer to complete, will be returned exponentially in sales.

Please, and thank you.

K-Mix is an incredibly complex product, and any time we touch even a small part of the code it requires a significant amount of time and resources to implement, integrate, test, and release new features. We have your feature request on our list, and we appreciate your patience.

Ok, it's been almost two years and...nada. What's up?
