headphone out 9-10

Postby Dallon426 » Thu Jun 28, 2018 11:02 am

Okay, I was really taken aback by this feature. I was trying to listen to my scuffam amps standalone plugin with the guitar. On my channel strip I have all faders turned down and the trim is at the lowest possible setting (which should be 0 but it is 1.50?) So, I was scratching my head trying to figure out why I kept hearing the guitar while monitoring via my headphone jack in the front. So, I searched through the manual and found discrete headphone out channels 9-10. YAY. So, I entered that mode and then I heard my guitar just the way I wanted. I heard no direct monitor input which is great. Then I went to play an mp3 to play along with my scuffamp amps plugin. Well wouldn't you know it, the MP3 would not play. Why? Because the mp3 only plays on outputs 1 and 2.

Why is the lowest setting on trim 1.50 and not 0 or -inf db like the rest of the channels?

Take a look here at the trim knobs for channels 1 and 2. They go to 1.50 DB on the lowest possible setting.

While channels 3-8 go to -18.50

Why wouldn't channels 1 and 2 to go to -inf DB or -18.50 like the rest of the trim knobs.

This is the problem. I can hear my mic in channel 1 and guitar in channel 2 when all trim knobs and channels are down. The reason being, I want to hear ONLY the effects in my daw as I do live monitoring.
