Any .json gurus out there?

Postby justjohn » Fri Aug 11, 2017 2:17 pm

Since the BopPad editor exports/imports using .json format, I figure I'll try a shout out.

Y'see, there's a bit of freeware out there called Xronomorph. It generates patterns using overlaid geometric shapes. I think it's pretty neat, if a bit of a processor hog.

Now, if you look at the interface, you'll see it is quite idiosyncratic, to say the least. And the way it stores and recalls its presets is downright weird. BUT it stores the data in .json format.

The authors of the program have since moved on to other things.

So my nefarious purpose in posting this is to get a .json guru to get addicted to this program, and then be forced (for sanity's sake) to write a patch editor or editing method. (By method, I mean a way to move the .json data to and from an editable format, like .csv or .xlsx)

(I've tried a few of the online .json converters, and failed so far.)
