It's working fine on our Windows 7, 64-bit machines here.

Plug in, boot editor, switch to Standalone, turn off EL in settings, save settings, download scenes — BAM, lights are off and I can unplug and replug as many times as I want, no lights. Doesn't matter if the editor is open or not — same results. They light up for a second or two right when it's plugged in, but promptly turn off on their own, as they should.

Ah there in lies the rub, stand alone mode. It won't ever hold the EL off in Hosted mode, ever.
Perhaps I didn't mention that's the only mode I use the SS with.
Cheers,
Dirk

If you do the trick for Standalone mode it will hold its off state in Hosted mode as well.

Interesting,
I would have not thought of that because all my uses won't transfer to stand alone mode. I guess I'll just make something specific to do that, hey it's worth a shot.
Thanks,
Dirk

Hurrah and kudos to you TheSupport@KMI, I would have never thought of that fix since I never touch stand alone mode.
Many thanks to you for my making musical life a little easier! :)
